As a Vendor Managed Services (VMS) Analyst at AstraZeneca, you'll be at the forefront of ensuring supplier data is accurately processed and maintained, enabling flawless purchasing and financial operations. Your expertise will guide business users through the supplier onboarding journey in ServiceNow (NextGen), troubleshooting challenges and driving continuous improvement. Collaboration is key, as you'll work closely with teams across Third Party Risk Management, Data Management, Finance, IT, Procurement, and Purchase to Pay. This role offers a unique opportunity to engage in a global environment, primarily supporting AstraZeneca users in Europe while contributing to professional development and impactful outcomes.
Accountabilities:
- Deliver supplier onboarding activities within agreed SLAs and KPI targets.
- Communicate optimally with AZ users to minimize rejections and delays in the supplier onboarding process.
- Collaborate with various teams to ensure best-in-class customer service.
- Regularly follow up on open cases to ensure timely completion and avoid backlogs.
- Interact professionally with AZ suppliers for the Supplier Diversity program.
- Provide backup support within the team when required.
- Identify and drive improvement opportunities.
- Support process design changes and systems testing (UAT).
- Actively participate in implementing system or process changes to enhance productivity and compliance.
- Address complex issues with appropriate teams for permanent resolution.
- Achieve objectives in a timely and accurate manner.
Essential Skills/Experience:
- Strong social skills and a customer-focused approach.
- Shown problem-solving abilities, proactive issue resolution, attention to detail, and strong follow-up skills.
- Understanding of the Buying process (Purchase to Pay) and third-party risk assessment.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in supplier onboarding, buying, data management, or accounts payable processes.
- Proficiency in ServiceNow, MDG/SAP with at least 2 years of hands-on experience.
- Confident speaking and presenting to small groups internally for knowledge sharing.
- Previous experience in a shared services centre or an internationally set up organization.
- Proficient in English; knowledge of an additional European language would be useful but not required.
Desirable Skills/Experience:
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills for data analysis, pivots, etc.
- Previous experience with other supplier onboarding systems would be advantageous.
- Ability to apply (Gen)AI tools in daily job or specific projects would be advantageous.
